(3) Raqq is a surface made of skin or another material on which one writes, and tabi‘ is a seal. The meaning is that what is written on the parchment is sealed so that no alteration or annulment can reach it.

sayyidu al-istighfāri:
The master formula for seeking forgiveness is:
ʾan yaqūla al-rajulu ʾidhā jalasa fī ṣalātihi:
For a man to say when seated in his prayer:
«Allāhumma ʾanta rabbī, lā ʾilāha ʾillā ʾanta, khalaqtanī wa-ʾanā ʿabduka, wa-ʾanā ʿalā ʿahdika wa-waʿdika mā istaṭaʿtu, ʾaʿūdhu bika min sharri mā ṣanaʿtu, ʾabūʾu biniʿmatika ʿalayya, wa-ʾabūʾu bidhanbī, fa-ighfir lī, ʾinnahu lā yaghfiru al-dhunūba ʾillā ʾanta» [د].
“O Allah, You are my Lord; there is no deity but You. You created me, and I am Your servant. I uphold Your covenant and promise as best I can. I seek refuge in You from the evil I have done. I acknowledge Your blessing upon me, and I acknowledge my sin, so forgive me; none forgives sins but You” [د].
wa-ʾidhā sallama:
When he concludes the prayer with salutation:

Or once, followed by: “There is no power and no strength except through Allah. There is no deity but Allah, and we worship none but Him. His is every blessing, His is all favor, and His is the finest praise. There is no deity but Allah; we devote the religion sincerely to Him, even if the disbelievers detest it” [م، د، س، مص].
