Count note: the full published Arabic order gives 1,200 repetitions. The same institutional guidance recognizes 1,000, 1,200, or 1,600, and also records continuous recitation until sunset.
Reading and translation notes
Each unit appears in three lines: fully vocalized Arabic, transliteration, and a modern English translation. The Arabic remains the governing devotional text. The transliteration supports pronunciation, and the English conveys the meaning without replacing the Arabic.
A formula repeated 100 or 1,200 times appears here once. The heading of each section gives its counts in square brackets, and the recitation order above shows where it falls in each wird.
The Arabic includes grammatical vowel endings. When a reader pauses at the end of a line, the normal rules of Arabic pause apply, so a final short vowel or tanwīn may not be pronounced. The transliteration uses a readable pausal form at most line endings and keeps connected pronunciation within each line.
Transliteration key
ā ī ū — long vowels
ʾ — hamza
ʿ — ʿayn
ḥ — deep h
kh gh — khāʾ and ghayn
sh — shīn
th dh — thāʾ and dhāl
ṣ ḍ ṭ ẓ — emphatic consonants
q — qāf
j — jīm
In the long istighfār, the nominative vocalization al-Ḥayyu al-Qayyūmu treats the two divine names as an apposition to huwa. The accusative al-Ḥayya al-Qayyūma is also grammatically recognized as a description of Allāh.
Jawharat al-Kamāl uses dense mystical imagery. The Arabic word ʿayn can mean eye, source, spring, or essence; this edition uses source or wellspring according to context. The translation remains interpretive and does not exhaust the Arabic meanings.
The cited Tijānī guidance treats these awrād as transmitted practices received through authorization from a qualified muqaddam. This reading edition preserves the public text. It does not confer ijāza or replace correction of pronunciation and practical instruction from an authorized teacher.
