الْأَوْرَادُ الْفَتْحِيَّةُ
al-Awrād al-Fatḥiyyah
The Fathiyya Litanies
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
Bismi Allāhi al-Raḥmāni al-Raḥīmi
In the name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful.
أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ الْعَظِيمَ [ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ]
Astaghfiru Allāha al-ʿAẓīma [thalātha marrātin]
I seek forgiveness from Allah, the Magnificent [three times].
الَّذِي لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ وَأَسْأَلُهُ التَّوْبَةَ
Alladhī lā ilāha illā huwa al-Ḥayyu al-Qayyūmu, wa-atūbu ilayhi wa-asʾaluhu al-tawbata
He is the One besides whom there is no god—the Ever-Living, the Self-Sustaining. I turn to Him in repentance and ask Him to grant me repentance.
اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ السَّلَامُ وَمِنْكَ السَّلَامُ وَإِلَيْكَ يَرْجِعُ السَّلَامُ، حَيِّنَا رَبَّنَا بِالسَّلَامِ
Allāhumma anta al-Salāmu wa-minka al-salāmu wa-ilayka yarjiʿu al-salāmu, ḥayyinā Rabbanā bi-l-salāmi
O Allah, You are Peace; from You comes peace, and to You peace returns. Our Lord, greet us with peace.
وَأَدْخِلْنَا دَارَ السَّلَامِ، تَبَارَكْتَ رَبَّنَا وَتَعَالَيْتَ يَا ذَا الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ.
Wa-adkhilnā dāra al-salāmi, tabārakta Rabbanā wa-taʿālayta yā Dhā al-Jalāli wa-l-Ikrāmi.
And admit us into the Abode of Peace. Blessed and exalted are You, our Lord, O Possessor of Majesty and Honor.
اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ حَمْدًا يُوَافِي نِعَمَكَ وَيُكَافِئُ مَزِيدَ كَرَمِكَ، أَحْمَدُكَ بِجَمِيعِ مَحَامِدِكَ مَا عَلِمْتُ مِنْهَا وَمَا لَمْ أَعْلَمْ، وَعَلَى جَمِيعِ نِعَمِكَ مَا عَلِمْتُ مِنْهَا وَمَا لَمْ أَعْلَمْ، وَعَلَى كُلِّ حَالٍ.
Allāhumma laka al-ḥamdu ḥamdan yuwāfī niʿamaka wa-yukāfiʾu mazīda karamika, aḥmaduka bi-jamīʿi maḥāmidika mā ʿalimtu minhā wa-mā lam aʿlam, wa-ʿalā jamīʿi niʿamika mā ʿalimtu minhā wa-mā lam aʿlam, wa-ʿalā kulli ḥālin.
O Allah, all praise belongs to You: praise commensurate with Your blessings and matching the increase of Your generosity. I praise You with every form of praise known to me and unknown to me, for all Your blessings known to me and unknown to me, and in every state.
أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ.
Aʿūdhu bi-llāhi mina al-shayṭāni al-rajīmi.
I seek refuge in Allah from Satan, the accursed.
اللَّهُ لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ، لَا تَأْخُذُهُ سِنَةٌ وَلَا نَوْمٌ، لَهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ، مَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يَشْفَعُ عِنْدَهُ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِ، يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ، وَلَا يُحِيطُونَ بِشَيْءٍ مِنْ عِلْمِهِ إِلَّا بِمَا شَاءَ وَسِعَ كُرْسِيُّهُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ وَلَا يَؤُودُهُ حِفْظُهُمَا وَهُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيمُ.
Allāhu lā ilāha illā huwa al-Ḥayyu al-Qayyūmu, lā taʾkhudhuhu sinatun wa-lā nawmun, lahu mā fī al-samāwāti wa-mā fī al-arḍi, man dhā alladhī yashfaʿu ʿindahu illā bi-idhnihi, yaʿlamu mā bayna aydīhim wa-mā khalfahum, wa-lā yuḥīṭūna bi-shayʾin min ʿilmihi illā bi-mā shāʾa, wasiʿa kursiyyuhu al-samāwāti wa-l-arḍa, wa-lā yaʾūduhu ḥifẓuhumā, wa-huwa al-ʿAliyyu al-ʿAẓīmu.
Allah—there is no god but Him, the Ever-Living, the Self-Sustaining. Neither drowsiness nor sleep overtakes Him. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what lies before them and what lies behind them, and they encompass nothing of His knowledge except what He wills. His Seat encompasses the heavens and the earth, and preserving them does not weary Him. He is the Most High, the Magnificent.
سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ [ثَلَاثًا وَثَلَاثِينَ مَرَّةً]
Subḥāna Allāhi [thalāthan wa-thalāthīna marratan]
Glory be to Allah [thirty-three times].
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ [ثَلَاثًا وَثَلَاثِينَ مَرَّةً]
Al-ḥamdu lillāhi [thalāthan wa-thalāthīna marratan]
All praise belongs to Allah [thirty-three times].
اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ [ثَلَاثًا وَثَلَاثِينَ مَرَّةً]
Allāhu akbaru [thalāthan wa-thalāthīna marratan]
Allah is the Greatest [thirty-three times].
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ [عَشْرَ مَرَّاتٍ]
Lā ilāha illā Allāhu waḥdahu lā sharīka lahu, lahu al-mulku wa-lahu al-ḥamdu wa-huwa ʿalā kulli shayʾin qadīrun [ʿashra marrātin]
There is no god but Allah alone, without partner. To Him belongs all sovereignty and all praise, and He has power over all things [ten times].
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ الْمَلِكُ الْجَبَّارُ
Lā ilāha illā Allāhu al-Maliku al-Jabbāru
There is no god but Allah, the Sovereign, the All-Compelling.
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ الْوَاحِدُ الْقَهَّارُ
Lā ilāha illā Allāhu al-Wāḥidu al-Qahhāru
There is no god but Allah, the One, the All-Subduing.
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ الْعَزِيزُ الْغَفَّارُ
Lā ilāha illā Allāhu al-ʿAzīzu al-Ghaffāru
There is no god but Allah, the Almighty, the All-Forgiving.
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ الْكَرِيمُ السَّتَّارُ
Lā ilāha illā Allāhu al-Karīmu al-Sattāru
There is no god but Allah, the All-Generous, the Concealer of faults.
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ الْكَبِيرُ الْمُتَعَالِ
Lā ilāha illā Allāhu al-Kabīru al-Mutaʿāli
There is no god but Allah, the All-Great, the Most Exalted.
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ خَالِقُ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ
Lā ilāha illā Allāhu Khāliqu al-layli wa-l-nahāri
There is no god but Allah, the Creator of night and day.
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ الْمَعْبُودُ بِكُلِّ مَكَانٍ
Lā ilāha illā Allāhu al-Maʿbūdu bi-kulli makānin
There is no god but Allah, the One worshipped in every place.
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ الْمَذْكُورُ بِكُلِّ لِسَانٍ
Lā ilāha illā Allāhu al-Madhkūru bi-kulli lisānin
There is no god but Allah, the One remembered by every tongue.
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ الْمَعْرُوفُ بِكُلِّ إِحْسَانٍ
Lā ilāha illā Allāhu al-Maʿrūfu bi-kulli iḥsānin
There is no god but Allah, the One made known through every gracious favor.
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ هُوَ فِي شَأْنٍ
Lā ilāha illā Allāhu kulla yawmin huwa fī shaʾnin
There is no god but Allah; each day He is engaged in a matter.
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ إِيمَانًا بِاللَّهِ
Lā ilāha illā Allāhu īmānan bi-llāhi
There is no god but Allah, as an affirmation of faith in Allah.
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ أَمَانًا مِنَ اللَّهِ
Lā ilāha illā Allāhu amānan mina Allāhi
There is no god but Allah, as security granted by Allah.
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ أَمَانَةً عِنْدَ اللَّهِ.
Lā ilāha illā Allāhu amānatan ʿinda Allāhi.
There is no god but Allah, as a trust kept with Allah.
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ
Lā ilāha illā Allāhu wa-lā ḥawla wa-lā quwwata illā bi-llāhi
There is no god but Allah, and there is no power and no strength except through Allah.
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَلَا نَعْبُدُ إِلَّا إِيَّاهُ
Lā ilāha illā Allāhu wa-lā naʿbudu illā iyyāhu
There is no god but Allah, and we worship none but Him.
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ حَقًّا حَقًّا
Lā ilāha illā Allāhu ḥaqqan ḥaqqan
There is no god but Allah—truly, truly.
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ إِيمَانًا وَصِدْقًا
Lā ilāha illā Allāhu īmānan wa-ṣidqan.
There is no god but Allah—in faith and truthfulness.
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ تَعَبُّدًا وَرِقًّا
Lā ilāha illā Allāhu taʿabbudan wa-riqqan.
There is no god but Allah—as an act of worship and servanthood.
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ تَلَطُّفًا وَرِفْقًا
Lā ilāha illā Allāhu talaṭṭufan wa-rifqan.
There is no god but Allah—with gracious kindness and gentleness.
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ قَبْلَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ
Lā ilāha illā Allāhu qabla kulli shayʾin.
There is no god but Allah—before all things.
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ بَعْدَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ
Lā ilāha illā Allāhu baʿda kulli shayʾin.
There is no god but Allah—after all things.
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ يَبْقَى رَبُّنَا وَيَفْنَى وَيَمُوتُ كُلُّ شَيْءٍ
Lā ilāha illā Allāhu yabqā Rabbunā wa-yafnā wa-yamūtu kullu shayʾin.
There is no god but Allah. Our Lord endures, while everything else perishes and dies.
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ الْمَلِكُ الْحَقُّ الْمُبِينُ
Lā ilāha illā Allāhu al-Maliku al-Ḥaqqu al-Mubīnu.
There is no god but Allah, the Sovereign, the Manifest Truth.
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ الْمَلِكُ الْحَقُّ الْيَقِينُ
Lā ilāha illā Allāhu al-Maliku al-Ḥaqqu al-Yaqīnu.
There is no god but Allah, the Sovereign, the Certain Truth.
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيمُ
Lā ilāha illā Allāhu al-ʿAliyyu al-ʿAẓīmu.
There is no god but Allah, the Most High, the Magnificent.
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ الْحَلِيمُ الْكَرِيمُ
Lā ilāha illā Allāhu al-Ḥalīmu al-Karīmu.
There is no god but Allah, the Forbearing, the All-Generous.
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ السَّبْعِ وَرَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ
Lā ilāha illā Allāhu Rabbu al-samāwāti al-sabʿi wa-Rabbu al-ʿarshi al-ʿaẓīmi.
There is no god but Allah, Lord of the seven heavens and Lord of the Magnificent Throne.
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ أَكْرَمُ الْأَكْرَمِينَ
Lā ilāha illā Allāhu Akramu al-akramīna.
There is no god but Allah, the Most Generous of all who are generous.
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ أَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِينَ
Lā ilāha illā Allāhu Arḥamu al-rāḥimīna.
There is no god but Allah, the Most Merciful of all who show mercy.
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ حَبِيبُ التَّوَّابِينَ
Lā ilāha illā Allāhu Ḥabību al-tawwābīna.
There is no god but Allah, the Beloved of those who continually turn to Him in repentance.
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ رَاحِمُ الْمَسَاكِينِ
Lā ilāha illā Allāhu Rāḥimu al-masākīni.
There is no god but Allah, the One who shows mercy to the needy.
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ هَادِي الْمُضَلِّينَ
Lā ilāha illā Allāhu Hādī al-muḍallīna.
There is no god but Allah, the Guide of those who have been led astray.
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ دَلِيلُ الْحَائِرِينَ
Lā ilāha illā Allāhu Dalīlu al-ḥāʾirīna.
There is no god but Allah, the Guide of the bewildered.
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ أَمَانُ الْخَائِفِينَ
Lā ilāha illā Allāhu Amānu al-khāʾifīna.
There is no god but Allah, the Source of safety for those who are afraid.
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ غِيَاثُ الْمُسْتَغِيثِينَ
Lā ilāha illā Allāhu Ghiyāthu al-mustaghīthīna.
There is no god but Allah, the Aid of those who cry out for help.
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ خَيْرُ النَّاصِرِينَ
Lā ilāha illā Allāhu Khayru al-nāṣirīna.
There is no god but Allah, the Best of helpers.
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ خَيْرُ الْحَافِظِينَ
Lā ilāha illā Allāhu Khayru al-ḥāfiẓīna.
There is no god but Allah, the Best of protectors.
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ خَيْرُ الْوَارِثِينَ
Lā ilāha illā Allāhu Khayru al-wārithīna.
There is no god but Allah, the Best of inheritors.
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ خَيْرُ الْحَاكِمِينَ
Lā ilāha illā Allāhu Khayru al-ḥākimīna.
There is no god but Allah, the Best of all who judge.
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ خَيْرُ الرَّازِقِينَ
Lā ilāha illā Allāhu Khayru al-rāziqīna.
There is no god but Allah, the Best of providers.
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ خَيْرُ الْفَاتِحِينَ
Lā ilāha illā Allāhu Khayru al-fātiḥīna.
There is no god but Allah, the Best of those who render decisive judgment.
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ خَيْرُ الْغَافِرِينَ
Lā ilāha illā Allāhu Khayru al-ghāfirīna.
There is no god but Allah, the Best of forgivers.
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ خَيْرُ الرَّاحِمِينَ
Lā ilāha illā Allāhu Khayru al-rāḥimīna.
There is no god but Allah, the Best of all who show mercy.
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ، وَصَدَقَ وَعْدَهُ وَنَصَرَ عَبْدَهُ وَأَعَزَّ جُنْدَهُ وَهَزَمَ الْأَحْزَابَ وَحْدَهُ، وَلَا شَيْءَ بَعْدَهُ.
Lā ilāha illā Allāhu waḥdahu, wa-ṣadaqa waʿdahu wa-naṣara ʿabdahu wa-aʿazza jundahu wa-hazama al-aḥzāba waḥdahu, wa-lā shayʾa baʿdahu.
There is no god but Allah alone. He has fulfilled His promise, granted victory to His servant, strengthened His forces, and He alone defeated the confederates. There is nothing after Him.
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ أَهْلُ النِّعْمَةِ وَلَهُ الْفَضْلُ وَلَهُ الثَّنَاءُ الْحَسَنُ لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ عَدَدَ خَلْقِهِ وَزِنَةَ عَرْشِهِ وَرِضَاءَ نَفْسِهِ وَمِدَادَ كَلِمَاتِهِ.
Lā ilāha illā Allāhu ahlu al-niʿmati wa-lahu al-faḍlu wa-lahu al-thanāʾu al-ḥasanu. Lā ilāha illā Allāhu ʿadada khalqihi wa-zinata ʿarshihi wa-riḍāʾa nafsihi wa-midāda kalimātihi.
There is no god but Allah, the Giver of blessing. To Him belongs all bounty, and to Him belongs all beautiful praise. There is no god but Allah—as many times as the number of His creatures, equal to the weight of His Throne, to the measure of His own good pleasure, and to the ink required for His words.
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ صَاحِبُ الْوَحْدَانِيَّةِ الْفَرْدَانِيَّةِ الْقُدْسِيَّةِ الْأَزَلِيَّةِ الْأَبَدِيَّةِ، لَيْسَ لَهُ ضِدٌّ وَلَا نِدٌّ وَلَا شَبِيهٌ وَلَا شَرِيكٌ
Lā ilāha illā Allāhu ṣāḥibu al-waḥdāniyyati al-fardāniyyati al-qudsiyyati al-azaliyyati al-abadiyyati; laysa lahu ḍiddun wa-lā niddun wa-lā shabīhun wa-lā sharīkun.
There is no god but Allah, Possessor of an Oneness that is absolute, unique, holy, beginningless, and everlasting. He has no opposite, no equal, no likeness, and no partner.
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ، يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ وَهُوَ حَيٌّ لَا يَمُوتُ، بِيَدِهِ الْخَيْرُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ وَإِلَيْهِ الْمَصِيرُ،
Lā ilāha illā Allāhu waḥdahu lā sharīka lahu; lahu al-mulku wa-lahu al-ḥamdu; yuḥyī wa-yumītu wa-huwa ḥayyun lā yamūtu; bi-yadihi al-khayru wa-huwa ʿalā kulli shayʾin qadīrun wa-ilayhi al-maṣīru.
There is no god but Allah alone, without partner. His is the dominion and His is all praise. He gives life and causes death, and He is the Ever-Living who never dies. In His hand is all good; He has power over all things, and to Him is the final return.
هُوَ الْأَوَّلُ وَالْآخِرُ وَالظَّاهِرُ وَالْبَاطِنُ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ، لَيْسَ كَمِثْلِهِ شَيْءٌ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْبَصِيرُ.
Huwa al-awwalu wa-l-ākhiru wa-l-ẓāhiru wa-l-bāṭinu wa-huwa bi-kulli shayʾin ʿalīmun. Laysa ka-mithlihi shayʾun wa-huwa al-samīʿu al-baṣīru.
He is the First and the Last, the Outward and the Inward, and He has knowledge of all things. Nothing is like Him, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing.
حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ، نِعْمَ الْمَوْلَى وَنِعْمَ النَّصِيرُ [ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ].
Ḥasbunā Allāhu wa-niʿma al-wakīlu; niʿma al-mawlā wa-niʿma al-naṣīru [thalātha marrātin].
Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the best Trustee; He is the best Protector and the best Helper [three times].
غُفْرَانَكَ رَبَّنَا وَإِلَيْكَ الْمَصِيرُ.
Ghufrānaka rabbanā wa-ilayka al-maṣīru.
Your forgiveness, our Lord! To You is the final return.
اللَّهُمَّ لَا مَانِعَ لِمَا أَعْطَيْتَ، وَلَا مُعْطِيَ لِمَا مَنَعْتَ وَلَا رَادَّ لِمَا قَضَيْتَ، وَلَا يَنْفَعُ ذَا الْجَدِّ مِنْكَ الْجَدُّ.
Allāhumma lā māniʿa li-mā aʿṭayta, wa-lā muʿṭiya li-mā manaʿta, wa-lā rādda li-mā qaḍayta, wa-lā yanfaʿu dhā al-jaddi minka al-jaddu.
O Allah, none can withhold what You give; none can give what You withhold; none can turn back what You decree; and no wealthy person’s wealth can avail them against You.
سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ الْعَلِيِّ الْأَعْلَى الْوَهَّابِ [مَرَّتَيْنِ]
Subḥāna rabbīya al-ʿaliyyi al-aʿlā al-wahhābi [marratayni].
Glory be to my Lord, the All-High, the Most High, the Bestower [twice].
سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ الْعَلِيِّ الْأَعْلَى الْكَرِيمِ الْوَهَّابِ، يَا وَهَّابُ،
Subḥāna rabbīya al-ʿaliyyi al-aʿlā al-karīmi al-wahhābi, yā Wahhābu.
Glory be to my Lord, the All-High, the Most High, the Generous, the Bestower. O Bestower!
سُبْحَانَكَ مَا عَبَدْنَاكَ حَقَّ عِبَادَتِكَ
Subḥānaka mā ʿabadnāka ḥaqqa ʿibādatika.
Glory be to You! We have not worshipped You as You truly deserve to be worshipped.
سُبْحَانَكَ مَا عَرَفْنَاكَ حَقَّ مَعْرِفَتِكَ
Subḥānaka mā ʿarafnāka ḥaqqa maʿrifatika.
Glory be to You! We have not known You as You truly deserve to be known.
سُبْحَانَكَ مَا ذَكَرْنَاكَ حَقَّ ذِكْرِكَ
Subḥānaka mā dhakarnāka ḥaqqa dhikrika.
Glory be to You! We have not remembered You as You truly deserve to be remembered.
سُبْحَانَكَ مَا شَكَرْنَاكَ حَقَّ شُكْرِكَ
Subḥānaka mā shakarnāka ḥaqqa shukrika.
Glory be to You! We have not thanked You as You truly deserve to be thanked.
سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ الْأَبَدِيِّ الْأَبِيدِ
Subḥāna Allāhi al-abadiyyi al-abīdi.
Glory be to Allah, the Everlasting, the Eternal.
سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ الْوَاحِدِ الْأَحَدِ
Subḥāna Allāhi al-wāḥidi al-aḥadi.
Glory be to Allah, the One, the Unique One.
سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ الْفَرْدِ الصَّمَدِ
Subḥāna Allāhi al-fardi al-ṣamadi.
Glory be to Allah, the Sole, the Self-Sufficient One upon whom all depend.
سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ رَافِعِ السَّمَاوَاتِ بِغَيْرِ عَمَدٍ،
Subḥāna Allāhi rāfiʿi al-samāwāti bi-ghayri ʿamadin.
Glory be to Allah, who raised the heavens without pillars.
سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ الَّذِي لَمْ يَتَّخِذْ صَاحِبَةً وَلَا وَلَدًا،
Subḥāna Allāhi alladhī lam yattakhidh ṣāḥibatan wa-lā waladan.
Glory be to Allah, who has taken neither consort nor child.
سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ الَّذِي لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ،
Subḥāna Allāhi alladhī lam yalid wa-lam yūlad wa-lam yakun lahu kufuwan aḥadun.
Glory be to Allah, who neither begets nor was begotten, and none is comparable to Him.
سُبْحَانَ الْمَلِكِ الْقُدُّوسِ،
Subḥāna al-maliki al-quddūsi.
Glory be to the Sovereign, the Most Holy.
سُبْحَانَ ذِي الْمُلْكِ وَالْمَلَكُوتِ،
Subḥāna dhī al-mulki wa-l-malakūti.
Glory be to the Possessor of sovereignty and the unseen kingdom.
سُبْحَانَ ذِي الْعِزَّةِ وَالْعَظَمَةِ وَالْقُدْرَةِ وَالْهَيْبَةِ وَالْجَلَالِ وَالْجَمَالِ وَالْكَمَالِ وَالْبَقَاءِ وَالثَّنَاءِ وَالضِّيَاءِ وَالْآلَاءِ وَالنَّعْمَاءِ وَالْكِبْرِيَاءِ وَالْجَبَرُوتِ.
Subḥāna dhī al-ʿizzati wa-l-ʿaẓamati wa-l-qudrati wa-l-haybati wa-l-jalāli wa-l-jamāli wa-l-kamāli wa-l-baqāʾi wa-l-thanāʾi wa-l-ḍiyāʾi wa-l-ālāʾi wa-l-naʿmāʾi wa-l-kibriyāʾi wa-l-jabarūti.
Glory be to the Possessor of might, grandeur, power, awe, majesty, beauty, perfection, permanence, praise, radiance, favors, blessings, supreme greatness, and absolute dominion.
سُبْحَانَ الْمَلِكِ الْحَيِّ الَّذِي لَا يَنَامُ وَلَا يَمُوتُ،
Subḥāna al-maliki al-ḥayyi alladhī lā yanāmu wa-lā yamūtu.
Glory be to the Sovereign, the Living, who neither sleeps nor dies.
سُبُّوحٌ قُدُّوسٌ رَبُّنَا وَرَبُّ الْمَلَائِكَةِ وَالرُّوحِ.
Subbūḥun quddūsun rabbunā wa-rabbu al-malāʾikati wa-l-rūḥi.
All-Glorious, All-Holy is our Lord, the Lord of the angels and the Spirit.
سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَلَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ،
Subḥāna Allāhi wa-l-ḥamdu lillāhi wa-lā ilāha illā Allāhu wa-llāhu akbaru.
Glory be to Allah; all praise belongs to Allah; there is no god but Allah; and Allah is the Greatest.
وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظِيمِ.
Wa-lā ḥawla wa-lā quwwata illā bi-llāhi al-ʿaliyyi al-ʿaẓīmi.
There is no might and no power except through Allah, the Most High, the Magnificent.
اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ الْمَلِكُ الْحَقُّ الَّذِي لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ
Allāhumma anta al-maliku al-ḥaqqu alladhī lā ilāha illā anta.
O Allah, You are the true Sovereign; there is no god but You.
يَا اللَّهُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا رَحْمٰنُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا رَحِيمُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ
Yā Allāhu jalla jalāluhu, yā Raḥmānu jalla jalāluhu, yā Raḥīmu jalla jalāluhu.
O Allah—exalted is His majesty; O All-Merciful—exalted is His majesty; O Ever-Merciful—exalted is His majesty.
يَا مَلِكُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا قُدُّوسُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا سَلَامُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ
Yā Maliku jalla jalāluhu, yā Quddūsu jalla jalāluhu, yā Salāmu jalla jalāluhu.
O Sovereign—exalted is His majesty; O Most Holy—exalted is His majesty; O Source of Peace—exalted is His majesty.
يَا مُؤْمِنُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا مُهَيْمِنُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا عَزِيزُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ
Yā Muʾminu jalla jalāluhu, yā Muhayminu jalla jalāluhu, yā ʿAzīzu jalla jalāluhu.
O Giver of Security—exalted is His majesty; O Guardian over all—exalted is His majesty; O Almighty—exalted is His majesty.
يَا جَبَّارُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا مُتَكَبِّرُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا خَالِقُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ
Yā Jabbāru jalla jalāluhu, yā Mutakabbiru jalla jalāluhu, yā Khāliqu jalla jalāluhu.
O All-Compelling Restorer—exalted is His majesty; O Supremely Great—exalted is His majesty; O Creator—exalted is His majesty.
يَا بَارِئُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا مُصَوِّرُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا غَفَّارُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ
Yā Bāriʾu jalla jalāluhu, yā Muṣawwiru jalla jalāluhu, yā Ghaffāru jalla jalāluhu.
O Originator—exalted is His majesty; O Shaper—exalted is His majesty; O Ever-Forgiving—exalted is His majesty.
يَا قَهَّارُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا وَهَّابُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا رَزَّاقُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ
Yā Qahhāru jalla jalāluhu, yā Wahhābu jalla jalāluhu, yā Razzāqu jalla jalāluhu.
O All-Subduer—exalted is His majesty; O Bestower—exalted is His majesty; O Provider—exalted is His majesty.
يَا فَتَّاحُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا عَلِيمُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا قَابِضُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ
Yā Fattāḥu jalla jalāluhu, yā ʿAlīmu jalla jalāluhu, yā Qābiḍu jalla jalāluhu.
O Opener—exalted is His majesty; O All-Knowing—exalted is His majesty; O Withholder—exalted is His majesty.
يَا بَاسِطُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا خَافِضُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا رَافِعُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ
Yā Bāsiṭu jalla jalāluhu, yā Khāfiḍu jalla jalāluhu, yā Rāfiʿu jalla jalāluhu.
O Expander—exalted is His majesty; O Abaser—exalted is His majesty; O Exalter—exalted is His majesty.
يَا مُعِزُّ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا مُذِلُّ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا سَمِيعُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ
Yā Muʿizzu jalla jalāluhu, yā Mudhillu jalla jalāluhu, yā Samīʿu jalla jalāluhu.
O Giver of honor—exalted is His majesty; O One who brings low—exalted is His majesty; O All-Hearing—exalted is His majesty.
يَا بَصِيرُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا حَكَمُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا عَدْلُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ
Yā Baṣīru jalla jalāluhu, yā Ḥakamu jalla jalāluhu, yā ʿAdlu jalla jalāluhu.
O All-Seeing—exalted is His majesty; O Judge—exalted is His majesty; O Perfectly Just—exalted is His majesty.
يَا لَطِيفُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا خَبِيرُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا حَلِيمُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ
Yā Laṭīfu jalla jalāluhu, yā Khabīru jalla jalāluhu, yā Ḥalīmu jalla jalāluhu.
O Subtle and Kind—exalted is His majesty; O All-Aware—exalted is His majesty; O Most Forbearing—exalted is His majesty.
يَا عَظِيمُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا غَفُورُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا شَكُورُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ
Yā ʿAẓīmu jalla jalāluhu, yā Ghafūru jalla jalāluhu, yā Shakūru jalla jalāluhu.
O Magnificent—exalted is His majesty; O All-Forgiving—exalted is His majesty; O Most Appreciative—exalted is His majesty.
يَا عَلِيُّ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا كَبِيرُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا حَفِيظُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ
Yā ʿAliyyu jalla jalāluhu, yā Kabīru jalla jalāluhu, yā Ḥafīẓu jalla jalāluhu.
O Most High—exalted is His majesty; O Most Great—exalted is His majesty; O Preserver—exalted is His majesty.
يَا مُقِيتُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا حَسِيبُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا جَلِيلُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ
Yā Muqītu jalla jalāluhu, yā Ḥasību jalla jalāluhu, yā Jalīlu jalla jalāluhu.
O Sustainer—exalted is His majesty; O Reckoner—exalted is His majesty; O Majestic—exalted is His majesty.
يَا كَرِيمُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا رَقِيبُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا مُجِيبُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ
Yā Karīmu jalla jalāluhu, yā Raqību jalla jalāluhu, yā Mujību jalla jalāluhu.
O Generous—exalted is His majesty; O Ever-Watchful—exalted is His majesty; O Responsive—exalted is His majesty.
يَا وَاسِعُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا حَكِيمُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا وَدُودُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ
Yā Wāsiʿu jalla jalāluhu, yā Ḥakīmu jalla jalāluhu, yā Wadūdu jalla jalāluhu.
O All-Encompassing—exalted is His majesty; O All-Wise—exalted is His majesty; O Most Loving—exalted is His majesty.
يَا مَجِيدُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا بَاعِثُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا شَهِيدُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ
Yā Majīdu jalla jalāluhu, yā Bāʿithu jalla jalāluhu, yā Shahīdu jalla jalāluhu.
O All-Glorious—exalted is His majesty; O Resurrector—exalted is His majesty; O Witness over all—exalted is His majesty.
يَا حَقُّ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا وَكِيلُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا قَوِيُّ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ
Yā Ḥaqqu jalla jalāluhu, yā Wakīlu jalla jalāluhu, yā Qawiyyu jalla jalāluhu.
O Truth—exalted is His majesty; O Trustee—exalted is His majesty; O All-Strong—exalted is His majesty.
يَا مَتِينُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا وَلِيُّ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا حَمِيدُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ
Yā Matīnu jalla jalāluhu, yā Waliyyu jalla jalāluhu, yā Ḥamīdu jalla jalāluhu.
O Unshakably Strong—exalted is His majesty; O Protecting Friend—exalted is His majesty; O Praiseworthy—exalted is His majesty.
يَا مُحْصِي جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا مُبْدِئُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا مُعِيدُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ
Yā Muḥṣī jalla jalāluhu, yā Mubdiʾu jalla jalāluhu, yā Muʿīdu jalla jalāluhu.
O Counter of all things—exalted is His majesty; O Originator—exalted is His majesty; O Restorer—exalted is His majesty.
يَا مُحْيِي جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا مُمِيتُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا حَيُّ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ
Yā Muḥyī jalla jalāluhu, yā Mumītu jalla jalāluhu, yā Ḥayyu jalla jalāluhu.
O Giver of Life—exalted is His majesty; O Bringer of Death—exalted is His majesty; O Ever-Living—exalted is His majesty.
يَا قَيُّومُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا وَاجِدُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا مَاجِدُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ
Yā Qayyūmu jalla jalāluhu, yā Wājidu jalla jalāluhu, yā Mājidu jalla jalāluhu.
O Self-Subsisting Sustainer—exalted is His majesty; O One who lacks nothing—exalted is His majesty; O Most Noble—exalted is His majesty.
يَا وَاحِدُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا أَحَدُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا صَمَدُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ
Yā Wāḥidu jalla jalāluhu, yā Aḥadu jalla jalāluhu, yā Ṣamadu jalla jalāluhu.
O One—exalted is His majesty; O Unique One—exalted is His majesty; O Self-Sufficient One upon whom all depend—exalted is His majesty.
يَا قَادِرُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا مُقْتَدِرُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا مُقَدِّمُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ
Yā Qādiru jalla jalāluhu, yā Muqtadiru jalla jalāluhu, yā Muqaddimu jalla jalāluhu.
O All-Powerful—exalted is His majesty; O Perfectly Powerful—exalted is His majesty; O One who brings forward—exalted is His majesty.
يَا مُؤَخِّرُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا أَوَّلُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا آخِرُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ
Yā Muʾakhkhiru jalla jalāluhu, yā Awwalu jalla jalāluhu, yā Ākhiru jalla jalāluhu.
O One who defers—exalted is His majesty; O First—exalted is His majesty; O Last—exalted is His majesty.
يَا ظَاهِرُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا بَاطِنُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا وَالِي جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ
Yā Ẓāhiru jalla jalāluhu, yā Bāṭinu jalla jalāluhu, yā Wālī jalla jalāluhu.
O Manifest—exalted is His majesty; O Hidden—exalted is His majesty; O Governing Lord—exalted is His majesty.
يَا مُتَعَالِي جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا بَرُّ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا تَوَّابُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ
Yā Mutaʿālī jalla jalāluhu, yā Barru jalla jalāluhu, yā Tawwābu jalla jalāluhu.
O Most Exalted—exalted is His majesty; O Source of all goodness—exalted is His majesty; O Ever-Accepting of repentance—exalted is His majesty.
يَا مُنْتَقِمُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا عَفُوُّ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا رَؤُوفُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ
Yā Muntaqimu jalla jalāluhu, yā ʿAfuwwu jalla jalāluhu, yā Raʾūfu jalla jalāluhu
O Avenger—exalted is His majesty; O Pardoner—exalted is His majesty; O Most Kind—exalted is His majesty.
يَا مَالِكَ الْمُلْكِ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ
Yā Mālika al-Mulki jalla jalāluhu
O Master of all Sovereignty—exalted is His majesty.
يَا ذَا الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا رَبُّ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ
Yā Dhā al-Jalāli wa-l-Ikrāmi jalla jalāluhu, yā Rabbu jalla jalāluhu
O Possessor of Majesty and Honor—exalted is His majesty; O Lord—exalted is His majesty.
يَا مُقْسِطُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا جَامِعُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا غَنِيُّ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ
Yā Muqsiṭu jalla jalāluhu, yā Jāmiʿu jalla jalāluhu, yā Ghaniyyu jalla jalāluhu
O Perfectly Just—exalted is His majesty; O Gatherer—exalted is His majesty; O Self-Sufficient One—exalted is His majesty.
يَا مُغْنِي جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا مُعْطِي جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا مَانِعُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ
Yā Mughnī jalla jalāluhu, yā Muʿṭī jalla jalāluhu, yā Māniʿu jalla jalāluhu
O Enricher—exalted is His majesty; O Giver—exalted is His majesty; O Withholder—exalted is His majesty.
يَا ضَارُّ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا نَافِعُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا نُورُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ
Yā Ḍārru jalla jalāluhu, yā Nāfiʿu jalla jalāluhu, yā Nūru jalla jalāluhu
O Bringer of Harm—exalted is His majesty; O Bringer of Benefit—exalted is His majesty; O Light—exalted is His majesty.
يَا هَادِي جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا بَدِيعُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا بَاقِي جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ
Yā Hādī jalla jalāluhu, yā Badīʿu jalla jalāluhu, yā Bāqī jalla jalāluhu
O Guide—exalted is His majesty; O Incomparable Originator—exalted is His majesty; O Everlasting One—exalted is His majesty.
يَا وَارِثُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا رَشِيدُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا صَبُورُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ
Yā Wārithu jalla jalāluhu, yā Rashīdu jalla jalāluhu, yā Ṣabūru jalla jalāluhu
O Ultimate Inheritor—exalted is His majesty; O Guide to Right Judgment—exalted is His majesty; O Most Patient—exalted is His majesty.
يَا صَبُورُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا صَادِقُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ، يَا سَتَّارُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ
Yā Ṣabūru jalla jalāluhu, yā Ṣādiqu jalla jalāluhu, yā Sattāru jalla jalāluhu
O Most Patient—exalted is His majesty; O Truthful—exalted is His majesty; O Concealer of faults—exalted is His majesty.
يَا مَنْ تَقَدَّسَ عَنِ الْأَشْبَاهِ ذَاتُهُ،
Yā man taqaddasa ʿani al-ashbāhi dhātuhu,
O You whose Essence is sanctified beyond every likeness,
وَتَنَزَّهَ عَنْ مُشَابَهَةِ الْأَمْثَالِ صِفَاتُهُ،
Wa-tanazzaha ʿan mushābahati al-amthāli ṣifātuhu,
and whose Attributes transcend all resemblance to created counterparts,
يَا مَنْ دَلَّتْ عَلَى وَحْدَانِيَّتِهِ آيَاتُهُ،
Yā man dallat ʿalā waḥdāniyyatihi āyātuhu,
O You whose signs point to Your Oneness,
وَشَهِدَتْ بِرُبُوبِيَّتِهِ مَصْنُوعَاتُهُ،
Wa-shahidat bi-rubūbiyyatihi maṣnūʿātuhu,
and whose created works testify to Your Lordship,
وَاحِدٌ لَا مِنْ قِلَّةٍ،
Wāḥidun lā min qillatin,
One—not by being one among a number,
وَمَوْجُودٌ لَا مِنْ عِلَّةٍ
Wa-mawjūdun lā min ʿillatin
and Existent without any cause.
يَا مَنْ هُوَ بِالْبِرِّ مَعْرُوفٌ وَبِالْإِحْسَانِ مَوْصُوفٌ،
Yā man huwa bi-l-birri maʿrūfun wa-bi-l-iḥsāni mawṣūfun,
O You who are known for goodness and characterized by beneficence,
مَعْرُوفٌ بِلَا غَايَةٍ وَمَوْصُوفٌ بِلَا نِهَايَةٍ،
Maʿrūfun bi-lā ghāyatin wa-mawṣūfun bi-lā nihāyatin,
known without limit and described without end,
أَوَّلٌ قَدِيمٌ بِلَا ابْتِدَاءٍ وَآخِرٌ كَرِيمٌ بِلَا انْتِهَاءٍ
Awwalun qadīmun bi-lā ibtidāʾin wa-ākhirun karīmun bi-lā intihāʾin
the First, Beginningless, without any beginning; the Last, Generous, without any end,
وَغَفُورُ ذُنُوبِ الْمُذْنِبِينَ كَرَمًا وَحِلْمًا،
Wa-ghafūru dhunūbi al-mudhnibīna karaman wa-ḥilman,
and the Forgiver of sinners’ sins, out of generosity and forbearance.
يَا مَنْ لَيْسَ كَمِثْلِهِ شَيْءٌ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْبَصِيرُ،
Yā man laysa ka-mithlihi shayʾun wa-huwa al-samīʿu al-baṣīru,
O You—nothing whatsoever is like You, and You are the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing.
حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ، نِعْمَ الْمَوْلَى وَنِعْمَ النَّصِيرُ
Ḥasbunā Allāhu wa-niʿma al-wakīlu, niʿma al-mawlā wa-niʿma al-naṣīru
Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the best Trustee—the best Protector and the best Helper.
يَا دَائِمًا بِلَا فَنَاءٍ،
Yā Dāʾiman bi-lā fanāʾin,
O Everlasting One, without extinction,
وَيَا قَائِمًا بِلَا زَوَالٍ،
Wa-yā Qāʾiman bi-lā zawālin,
and O Abiding One, without cessation,
وَيَا مُدَبِّرًا بِلَا وَزِيرٍ،
Wa-yā Mudabbiran bi-lā wazīrin,
and O Disposer of all affairs, without any minister,
سَهِّلْ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَى وَالِدَيْنَا كُلَّ عَسِيرٍ
Sahhil ʿalaynā wa-ʿalā wālidaynā kulla ʿasīrin
make every difficult matter easy for us and for our parents.
لَا أُحْصِي ثَنَاءً عَلَيْكَ، أَنْتَ كَمَا أَثْنَيْتَ عَلَى نَفْسِكَ، عَزَّ جَارُكَ
Lā uḥṣī thanāʾan ʿalayka, anta kamā athnayta ʿalā nafsika, ʿazza jāruka
I cannot fully enumerate Your praise; You are as You have praised Yourself. Mighty is the one under Your protection.
وَجَلَّ ثَنَاؤُكَ وَتَقَدَّسَتْ أَسْمَاؤُكَ وَعَظُمَ شَأْنُكَ وَلَا إِلٰهَ غَيْرُكَ
Wa-jalla thanāʾuka wa-taqaddasat asmāʾuka wa-ʿaẓuma shaʾnuka wa-lā ilāha ghayruka
Majestic is Your praise; sanctified are Your Names; great is Your majesty; and there is no god other than You.
يَفْعَلُ اللَّهُ مَا يَشَاءُ بِقُدْرَتِهِ وَيَحْكُمُ مَا يُرِيدُ بِعِزَّتِهِ.
Yafʿalu Allāhu mā yashāʾu bi-qudratihi wa-yaḥkumu mā yurīdu bi-ʿizzatihi.
Allah does whatever He wills by His power, and He decrees whatever He desires by His might.
أَلَا إِلَى اللَّهِ تَصِيرُ الْأُمُورُ.
Alā ilā Allāhi taṣīru al-umūru.
Surely, to Allah all matters return.
كُلُّ شَيْءٍ هَالِكٌ إِلَّا وَجْهَهُ، لَهُ الْحُكْمُ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ.
Kullu shayʾin hālikun illā wajhahu, lahu al-ḥukmu wa-ilayhi turjaʿūna.
Everything will perish except His Face. His is the judgment, and to Him you will be returned.
فَسَيَكْفِيكَهُمُ اللَّهُ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ.
Fa-sa-yakfīkahumu Allāhu wa-huwa al-samīʿu al-ʿalīmu.
So Allah will suffice you against them, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ وَكَفَى، سَمِعَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ دَعَا، لَيْسَ وَرَاءَ اللَّهِ الْمُنْتَهَى،
Ḥasbunā Allāhu wa-kafā, samiʿa Allāhu li-man daʿā, laysa warāʾa Allāhi al-muntahā,
Allah is sufficient for us, and He suffices. Allah hears whoever calls upon Him. There is no final goal beyond Allah.
مَنِ اعْتَصَمَ بِاللَّهِ نَجَا.
Mani iʿtaṣama bi-llāhi najā.
Whoever holds fast to Allah is saved.
سُبْحَانَ مَنْ لَمْ يَزَلْ رَبًّا رَحِيمًا وَلَا يَزَالُ كَرِيمًا.
Subḥāna man lam yazal rabban raḥīman wa-lā yazālu karīman.
Glory be to Him who has always been a merciful Lord and will always remain generous.
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ الْحَلِيمُ الْكَرِيمُ.
Lā ilāha illā Allāhu al-ḥalīmu al-karīmu.
There is no god but Allah, the Forbearing, the Generous.
سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَتَبَارَكَ اللَّهُ رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ السَّبْعِ وَرَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ
Subḥāna Allāhi wa-tabāraka Allāhu rabbu al-samāwāti al-sabʿi wa-rabbu al-ʿarshi al-ʿaẓīmi
Glory be to Allah, and blessed and exalted is Allah, Lord of the seven heavens and Lord of the Mighty Throne.
وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ.
Wa-l-ḥamdu lillāhi rabbi al-ʿālamīna.
All praise belongs to Allah, Lord of all worlds.
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ،
Lā ilāha illā Allāhu waḥdahu lā sharīka lahu,
There is no god but Allah alone, without partner,
إِلٰهًا وَاحِدًا أَحَدًا صَمَدًا فَرْدًا وِتْرًا حَيًّا قَيُّومًا دَائِمًا أَبَدًا،
Ilāhan wāḥidan aḥadan ṣamadan fardan witran ḥayyan qayyūman dāʾiman abadan,
one God—One and Unique, the Eternal Refuge, the Singular and the Peerless, the Ever-Living, the Self-Subsisting, enduring forever.
لَمْ يَتَّخِذْ صَاحِبَةً وَلَا وَلَدًا
Lam yattakhidh ṣāḥibatan wa-lā waladan
He has taken neither consort nor child,
وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ شَرِيكٌ فِي الْمُلْكِ
Wa-lam yakun lahu sharīkun fī al-mulki
and He has no partner in sovereignty,
وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ وَلِيٌّ مِنَ الذُّلِّ
Wa-lam yakun lahu waliyyun mina al-dhulli
nor does He have any protector out of weakness.
وَكَبِّرْهُ تَكْبِيرًا. اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ.
Wa-kabbirhu takbīran. Allāhu akbaru.
And magnify Him greatly. Allah is the Greatest.
حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ لِدِينِنَا
Ḥasbunā Allāhu li-dīninā
Allah is sufficient for us in our religion.
حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ لِدُنْيَانَا
Ḥasbunā Allāhu li-dunyānā
Allah is sufficient for us in our worldly life.
حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ لِمَا أَهَمَّنَا
Ḥasbunā Allāhu li-mā ahammanā
Allah is sufficient for us in all that troubles us.
حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ لِمَنْ بَغَى عَلَيْنَا
Ḥasbunā Allāhu li-man baghā ʿalaynā
Allah is sufficient for us against whoever wrongfully attacks us.
حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ لِمَنْ حَسَدَنَا
Ḥasbunā Allāhu li-man ḥasadanā
Allah is sufficient for us against whoever envies us.
حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ لِمَنْ كَادَنَا بِالسُّوءِ
Ḥasbunā Allāhu li-man kādanā bi-l-sūʾi
Allah is sufficient for us against whoever plots evil against us.
حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ عِنْدَ الْمَوْتِ
Ḥasbunā Allāhu ʿinda al-mawti
Allah is sufficient for us at death.
حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ عِنْدَ الْقَبْرِ
Ḥasbunā Allāhu ʿinda al-qabri
Allah is sufficient for us in the grave.
حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ عِنْدَ الْحِسَابِ
Ḥasbunā Allāhu ʿinda al-ḥisābi
Allah is sufficient for us at the Reckoning.
حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ عِنْدَ السُّؤَالِ
Ḥasbunā Allāhu ʿinda al-suʾāli
Allah is sufficient for us when we are questioned.
حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ عِنْدَ الصِّرَاطِ
Ḥasbunā Allāhu ʿinda al-ṣirāṭi
Allah is sufficient for us at the Bridge.
حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ عِنْدَ الْمِيزَانِ
Ḥasbunā Allāhu ʿinda al-mīzāni
Allah is sufficient for us at the Balance.
حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ عِنْدَ الْجَنَّةِ وَالنَّارِ
Ḥasbunā Allāhu ʿinda al-jannati wa-l-nāri
Allah is sufficient for us when Paradise and the Fire lie before us.
حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ عِنْدَ اللِّقَاءِ.
Ḥasbunā Allāhu ʿinda al-liqāʾi.
Allah is sufficient for us at the encounter.
حَسْبِيَ اللَّهُ الَّذِي لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَإِلَيْهِ أُنِيبُ.
Ḥasbiya Allāhu alladhī lā ilāha illā huwa, ʿalayhi tawakkaltu wa-ilayhi unību.
Allah is sufficient for me; there is no god but Him. In Him I place my trust, and to Him I turn in repentance.
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ، سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ مَا أَعْظَمَ اللَّهَ
Lā ilāha illā Allāhu, subḥāna Allāhi, mā aʿẓama Allāha.
There is no god but Allah. Glory be to Allah—how magnificent Allah is!
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ، سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ مَا أَحْلَمَ اللَّهَ،
Lā ilāha illā Allāhu, subḥāna Allāhi, mā aḥlama Allāha.
There is no god but Allah. Glory be to Allah—how forbearing Allah is!
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ، سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ مَا أَكْرَمَ اللَّهَ،
Lā ilāha illā Allāhu, subḥāna Allāhi, mā akrama Allāha.
There is no god but Allah. Glory be to Allah—how generous Allah is!
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ حَقًّا.
Lā ilāha illā Allāhu waḥdahu lā sharīka lahu, Muḥammadun rasūlu Allāhi ḥaqqan.
There is no god but Allah alone, without partner; Muhammad is truly the Messenger of Allah.
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ كُلَّمَا ذَكَرَهُ الذَّاكِرُونَ،
Allāhumma ṣalli ʿalā Muḥammadin kullamā dhakarahu al-dhākirūna.
O Allah, bless Muhammad whenever those who remember call him to mind,
وَصَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ كُلَّمَا غَفَلَ عَنْ ذِكْرِهِ الْغَافِلُونَ
Wa-ṣalli ʿalā Muḥammadin kullamā ghafala ʿan dhikrihi al-ghāfilūna.
and bless Muhammad whenever the heedless neglect to remember him.
رَضِينَا بِاللَّهِ تَعَالَى رَبًّا وَبِالْإِسْلَامِ دِينًا وَبِمُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَبِيًّا وَرَسُولًا،
Raḍīnā bi-llāhi taʿālā rabban, wa-bi-l-islāmi dīnan, wa-bi-Muḥammadin ṣallā Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallama nabiyyan wa-rasūlan,
We are content with Allah Most High as our Lord, with Islam as our religion, and with Muhammad—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—as our Prophet and Messenger;
وَبِالْقُرْآنِ إِمَامًا، وَبِالْكَعْبَةِ قِبْلَةً، وَبِالصَّلَاةِ فَرِيضَةً، وَبِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ إِخْوَانًا،
Wa-bi-l-Qurʾāni imāman, wa-bi-l-Kaʿbati qiblatan, wa-bi-l-ṣalāti farīḍatan, wa-bi-l-muʾminīna ikhwānan,
with the Qur’an as our guide, the Kaaba as our direction of prayer, the prescribed prayer as our obligation, and the believers as our brothers;
وَبِالصِّدِّيقِ وَبِالْفَارُوقِ وَبِذِي النُّورَيْنِ وَبِالْمُرْتَضَى أَئِمَّةً، رِضْوَانُ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى عَلَيْهِمْ أَجْمَعِينَ. مَرْحَبًا بِالصَّبَاحِ الْجَدِيدِ وَبِالْيَوْمِ السَّعِيدِ
Wa-bi-l-Ṣiddīqi wa-bi-l-Fārūqi wa-bi-Dhī al-Nūrayni wa-bi-l-Murtaḍā aʾimmatan, riḍwānu Allāhi taʿālā ʿalayhim ajmaʿīna. Marḥaban bi-l-ṣabāḥi al-jadīdi wa-bi-l-yawmi al-saʿīdi.
and with al-Ṣiddīq, al-Fārūq, the Possessor of the Two Lights, and al-Murtaḍā as our leaders—may Allah Most High be pleased with them all. Welcome to the new morning and the joyful day,
وَبِالْمَلَكَيْنِ الْكَاتِبَيْنِ الشَّاهِدَيْنِ الْعَادِلَيْنِ،
Wa-bi-l-malakayni al-kātibayni al-shāhidayni al-ʿādilayni,
and welcome to the two recording angels, the two just witnesses.
حَيَّاكُمَا اللَّهُ تَعَالَى فِي غُرَّةِ يَوْمِنَا هٰذَا،
Ḥayyākumā Allāhu taʿālā fī ghurrati yawminā hādhā.
May Allah Most High greet you both at the dawning of this day of ours.
اكْتُبَا فِي أَوَّلِ صَحِيفَتِنَا
Uktubā fī awwali ṣaḥīfatinā:
Write at the beginning of our record:
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
Bismi Allāhi al-Raḥmāni al-Raḥīmi
In the name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful.
وَاشْهَدَا بِأَنَّا نَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، وَنَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ
Wa-ishhadā bi-annā nashhadu an lā ilāha illā Allāhu waḥdahu lā sharīka lahu, wa-nashhadu anna Muḥammadan ʿabduhu wa-rasūluhu.
And bear witness, both of you, that we testify that there is no god but Allah alone, without partner, and that we testify that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger.
أَرْسَلَهُ بِالْهُدَى وَدِينِ الْحَقِّ لِيُظْهِرَهُ عَلَى الدِّينِ كُلِّهِ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْمُشْرِكُونَ.
Arsalahu bi-l-hudā wa-dīni al-ḥaqqi li-yuẓhirahu ʿalā al-dīni kullihi wa-law kariha al-mushrikūna.
He sent him with guidance and the religion of truth, to make it prevail over every religion, even though those who associate partners with Allah may detest it.
عَلَى هٰذِهِ الشَّهَادَةِ نَحْيَا وَعَلَيْهَا نَمُوتُ وَعَلَيْهَا نُبْعَثُ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى
ʿAlā hādhihi al-shahādati naḥyā, wa-ʿalayhā namūtu, wa-ʿalayhā nubʿathu in shāʾa Allāhu taʿālā.
Upon this testimony we live, upon it we die, and upon it we shall be raised, if Allah Most High wills.
أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ كُلِّهَا مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ.
Aʿūdhu bi-kalimāti Allāhi al-tāmmāti kullihā min sharri mā khalaqa.
I seek refuge in all the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created.
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ خَيْرِ الْأَسْمَاءِ،
Bismi Allāhi khayri al-asmāʾi.
In the name of Allah, the best of names.
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ رَبِّ الْأَرْضِ وَرَبِّ السَّمَاءِ.
Bismi Allāhi rabbi al-arḍi wa-rabbi al-samāʾi.
In the name of Allah, Lord of the earth and Lord of heaven.
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الَّذِي لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاءِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ.
Bismi Allāhi alladhī lā yaḍurru maʿa ismihi shayʾun fī al-arḍi wa-lā fī al-samāʾi, wa-huwa al-samīʿu al-ʿalīmu.
In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing on earth or in heaven can cause harm; He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَحْيَانَا بَعْدَ مَا أَمَاتَنَا وَإِلَيْهِ الْبَعْثُ وَالنُّشُورُ.
Al-ḥamdu lillāhi alladhī aḥyānā baʿda mā amātanā, wa-ilayhi al-baʿthu wa-l-nushūru.
All praise is for Allah, who restored us to life after causing us to die; to Him is our resurrection and return.
أَصْبَحْنَا وَأَصْبَحَ الْمُلْكُ لِلَّهِ وَالْعِزَّةُ وَالْعَظَمَةُ وَالْكِبْرِيَاءُ وَالْجَبَرُوتُ
Aṣbaḥnā wa-aṣbaḥa al-mulku lillāhi, wa-l-ʿizzatu wa-l-ʿaẓamatu wa-l-kibriyāʾu wa-l-jabarūtu,
We have entered the morning, and all sovereignty belongs to Allah, as do might, majesty, greatness, and absolute power;
وَالسُّلْطَانُ وَالْبُرْهَانُ لِلَّهِ،
Wa-l-sulṭānu wa-l-burhānu lillāhi,
authority and manifest proof belong to Allah;
وَالْآلَاءُ وَالنَّعْمَاءُ لِلَّهِ، وَاللَّيْلُ وَالنَّهَارُ لِلَّهِ،
Wa-l-ālāʾu wa-l-naʿmāʾu lillāhi, wa-l-laylu wa-l-nahāru lillāhi,
bounties and blessings belong to Allah, and night and day belong to Allah;
وَمَا سَكَنَ فِيهِمَا لِلَّهِ الْوَاحِدِ الْقَهَّارِ.
Wa-mā sakana fīhimā lillāhi al-wāḥidi al-qahhāri.
and whatever dwells within them belongs to Allah, the One, the All-Subduing.
أَصْبَحْنَا عَلَى فِطْرَةِ الْإِسْلَامِ وَكَلِمَةِ الْإِخْلَاصِ وَعَلَى دِينِ نَبِيِّنَا مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
Aṣbaḥnā ʿalā fiṭrati al-islāmi wa-kalimati al-ikhlāṣi, wa-ʿalā dīni nabiyyinā Muḥammadin ṣallā Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallama,
We have entered the morning upon the primordial nature of Islam, the declaration of pure faith, and the religion of our Prophet Muhammad—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—
وَعَلَى مِلَّةِ أَبِينَا إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَنِيفًا مُسْلِمًا وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ.
Wa-ʿalā millati abīnā Ibrāhīma ḥanīfan musliman, wa-mā kāna mina al-mushrikīna.
and upon the way of our father Abraham, upright and surrendered to Allah; he was not among those who associate partners with Him.
صَلَوَاتُ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى وَمَلَائِكَتِهِ وَأَنْبِيَائِهِ وَرُسُلِهِ وَحَمَلَةِ عَرْشِهِ وَجَمِيعِ خَلْقِهِ
Ṣalawātu Allāhi taʿālā wa-malāʾikatihi wa-anbiyāʾihi wa-rusulihi wa-ḥamalati ʿarshihi wa-jamīʿi khalqihi,
May the blessings of Allah Most High and the prayers of His angels, His prophets, His messengers, the bearers of His Throne, and all His creation rest
عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ وَأَصْحَابِهِ، عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَيْهِمُ السَّلَامُ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
ʿAlā sayyidinā Muḥammadin wa-ālihi wa-aṣḥābihi; ʿalayhi wa-ʿalayhimu al-salāmu wa-raḥmatu Allāhi wa-barakātuhu.
upon our master Muhammad, his family, and his Companions. May peace, Allah’s mercy, and His blessings be upon him and upon them.
الصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ،
Al-ṣalātu wa-l-salāmu ʿalayka yā Rasūla Allāhi.
May blessings and peace be upon you, O Messenger of Allah.
الصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا حَبِيبَ اللَّهِ،
Al-ṣalātu wa-l-salāmu ʿalayka yā Ḥabība Allāhi.
May blessings and peace be upon you, O Beloved of Allah.
الصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا خَلِيلَ اللَّهِ،
Al-ṣalātu wa-l-salāmu ʿalayka yā Khalīla Allāhi.
May blessings and peace be upon you, O intimate friend of Allah.
الصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ
Al-ṣalātu wa-l-salāmu ʿalayka yā Nabiyya Allāhi.
May blessings and peace be upon you, O Prophet of Allah.
الصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا صَفِيَّ اللَّهِ،
Al-ṣalātu wa-l-salāmu ʿalayka yā Ṣafiyya Allāhi.
May blessings and peace be upon you, O chosen one of Allah.
الصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا خَيْرَ خَلْقِ اللَّهِ،
Al-ṣalātu wa-l-salāmu ʿalayka yā Khayra khalqi Allāhi.
May blessings and peace be upon you, O best of Allah’s creation.
الصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَنِ اخْتَارَهُ اللَّهُ،
Al-ṣalātu wa-l-salāmu ʿalayka yā mani ikhtārahu Allāhu.
May blessings and peace be upon you, O you whom Allah chose.
الصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَنْ أَرْسَلَهُ اللَّهُ،
Al-ṣalātu wa-l-salāmu ʿalayka yā man arsalahu Allāhu.
May blessings and peace be upon you, O you whom Allah sent.
الصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَنْ زَيَّنَهُ اللَّهُ،
Al-ṣalātu wa-l-salāmu ʿalayka yā man zayyanahu Allāhu.
May blessings and peace be upon you, O you whom Allah adorned.
الصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَنْ شَرَّفَهُ اللَّهُ،
Al-ṣalātu wa-l-salāmu ʿalayka yā man sharrafahu Allāhu.
May blessings and peace be upon you, O you whom Allah distinguished.
الصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَنْ كَرَّمَهُ اللَّهُ،
Al-ṣalātu wa-l-salāmu ʿalayka yā man karramahu Allāhu.
May blessings and peace be upon you, O you whom Allah honored.
الصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَنْ عَظَّمَهُ اللَّهُ،
Al-ṣalātu wa-l-salāmu ʿalayka yā man ʿaẓẓamahu Allāhu.
May blessings and peace be upon you, O you whom Allah exalted.
الصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا سَيِّدَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ،
Al-ṣalātu wa-l-salāmu ʿalayka yā Sayyida al-mursalīna.
May blessings and peace be upon you, O master of the messengers.
الصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا إِمَامَ الْمُتَّقِينَ،
Al-ṣalātu wa-l-salāmu ʿalayka yā Imāma al-muttaqīna.
May blessings and peace be upon you, O leader of the God-fearing.
الصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا خَاتَمَ النَّبِيِّينَ
Al-ṣalātu wa-l-salāmu ʿalayka yā Khātama al-nabiyyīna.
May blessings and peace be upon you, O Seal of the Prophets.
الصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا شَفِيعَ الْمُذْنِبِينَ [ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ].
Al-ṣalātu wa-l-salāmu ʿalayka yā Shafīʿa al-mudhnibīna [thalātha marrātin].
May blessings and peace be upon you, O intercessor for sinners [three times].
الصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا رَسُولَ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ.
Al-ṣalātu wa-l-salāmu ʿalayka yā Rasūla Rabbi al-ʿālamīna.
May blessings and peace be upon you, O Messenger of the Lord of all worlds.
صَلَوَاتُ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى وَمَلَائِكَتِهِ وَأَنْبِيَائِهِ وَرُسُلِهِ وَحَمَلَةِ عَرْشِهِ وَجَمِيعِ خَلْقِهِ
Ṣalawātu Allāhi taʿālā wa-malāʾikatihi wa-anbiyāʾihi wa-rusulihi wa-ḥamalati ʿarshihi wa-jamīʿi khalqihi,
May the blessings of Allah Most High and the prayers of His angels, His prophets, His messengers, the bearers of His Throne, and all His creation rest
عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِهِ وَأَصْحَابِهِ، عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَيْهِمُ السَّلَامُ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ.
ʿAlā sayyidinā Muḥammadin wa-ʿalā ālihi wa-aṣḥābihi; ʿalayhi wa-ʿalayhimu al-salāmu wa-raḥmatu Allāhi wa-barakātuhu.
upon our master Muhammad and upon his family and Companions. May peace, Allah’s mercy, and His blessings be upon him and upon them.
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ فِي الْأَوَّلِينَ،
Allāhumma ṣalli ʿalā sayyidinā Muḥammadin fī al-awwalīna,
O Allah, bless our master Muhammad among those of old,
وَصَلِّ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ فِي الْآخِرِينَ،
Wa-ṣalli ʿalā sayyidinā Muḥammadin fī al-ākhirīna,
and bless our master Muhammad among the later generations,
وَصَلِّ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ فِي الْمَلَإِ الْأَعْلَى إِلَى يَوْمِ الدِّينِ
Wa-ṣalli ʿalā sayyidinā Muḥammadin fī al-malaʾi al-aʿlā ilā yawmi al-dīni,
and bless our master Muhammad in the Highest Assembly until the Day of Judgment,
وَصَلِّ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ فِي كُلِّ وَقْتٍ وَحِينٍ،
Wa-ṣalli ʿalā sayyidinā Muḥammadin fī kulli waqtin wa-ḥīnin,
and bless our master Muhammad at every time and moment,
وَصَلِّ عَلَى جَمِيعِ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ وَالْمُرْسَلِينَ
Wa-ṣalli ʿalā jamīʿi al-anbiyāʾi wa-l-mursalīna,
and bless all the prophets and messengers,
وَعَلَى مَلَائِكَتِكَ الْمُقَرَّبِينَ
Wa-ʿalā malāʾikatika al-muqarrabīna.
and Your angels who are brought near.
وَعَلَى عِبَادِكَ الصَّالِحِينَ
Wa-ʿalā ʿibādika al-ṣāliḥīna,
and upon Your righteous servants,
وَعَلَى أَهْلِ طَاعَتِكَ أَجْمَعِينَ
Wa-ʿalā ahli ṭāʿatika ajmaʿīna.
and upon all who obey You.
وَارْحَمْنَا مَعَهُمْ بِرَحْمَتِكَ
Wa-irḥamnā maʿahum bi-raḥmatika,
And have mercy on us together with them, through Your mercy,
يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ
Yā arḥama al-rāḥimīna.
O Most Merciful of those who show mercy.
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
Bismi Allāhi al-Raḥmāni al-Raḥīmi
In the name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful.
اللَّهُمَّ يَا مَالِكَ الرِّقَابِ وَيَا مُفَتِّحَ الْأَبْوَابِ وَيَا مُسَبِّبَ الْأَسْبَابِ
Allāhumma yā Mālika al-riqābi, wa-yā Mufattiḥa al-abwābi, wa-yā Musabbiba al-asbābi,
O Allah, O Master of all souls, O Opener of doors, O Ordainer of causes,
هَيِّئْ لَنَا سَبَبًا لَا نَسْتَطِيعُ لَهُ طَلَبًا
Hayyiʾ lanā sababan lā nastaṭīʿu lahu ṭalaban.
prepare for us a means that we could never obtain through our own seeking.
اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْنَا مَشْغُولِينَ بِأَمْرِكَ آمِنِينَ بِعَدْلِكَ، آيِسِينَ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ،
Allāhumma ijʿalnā mashghūlīna bi-amrika, āminīna bi-ʿadlika, āyisīna min khalqika,
O Allah, make us occupied with Your command, secure in Your justice, and expecting nothing from Your creatures;
آنِسِينَ بِكَ، مُسْتَوْحِشِينَ عَنْ غَيْرِكَ، رَاضِينَ بِقَضَائِكَ صَابِرِينَ عَلَى بَلَائِكَ،
Ānisīna bika, mustawḥishīna ʿan ghayrika, rāḍīna bi-qaḍāʾika, ṣābirīna ʿalā balāʾika,
finding solace in You, estranged from all besides You, content with Your decree, and patient under Your trials;
قَانِعِينَ لِعَطَائِكَ، شَاكِرِينَ لِنَعْمَائِكَ مُتَلَذِّذِينَ بِذِكْرِكَ،
Qāniʿīna li-ʿaṭāʾika, shākirīna li-naʿmāʾika, mutaladhdhidhīna bi-dhikrika,
content with Your gifts, grateful for Your blessings, and delighting in Your remembrance;
فَرِحِينَ بِكِتَابِكَ، مُنَاجِينَ بِكَ فِي آنَاءِ اللَّيْلِ وَأَطْرَافِ النَّهَارِ،
Fariḥīna bi-kitābika, munājīna bika fī ānāʾi al-layli wa-aṭrāfi al-nahāri,
rejoicing in Your Book and communing intimately with You in the watches of the night and at the ends of the day;
مُبْغِضِينَ لِدُنْيَانَا وَمُحِبِّينَ لِلْآخِرَةِ مُشْتَاقِينَ إِلَى لِقَائِكَ،
Mubghiḍīna li-dunyānā, wa-muḥibbīna li-l-ākhirati, mushtāqīna ilā liqāʾika,
averse to our worldly life, loving the Hereafter, and longing to meet You;
مُتَوَجِّهِينَ إِلَى جَنَابِكَ، مُسْتَعِدِّينَ لِلْمَوْتِ
Mutawajjihīna ilā janābika, mustaʿiddīna li-l-mawti.
turning toward Your august presence and ready for death.
رَبَّنَا وَآتِنَا مَا وَعَدْتَنَا عَلَى رُسُلِكَ وَلَا تُخْزِنَا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ إِنَّكَ لَا تُخْلِفُ الْمِيعَادَ.
Rabbanā wa-ātinā mā waʿadtanā ʿalā rusulika, wa-lā tukhzinā yawma al-qiyāmati; innaka lā tukhlifu al-mīʿāda.
Our Lord, grant us what You promised us through Your messengers, and do not disgrace us on the Day of Resurrection. Surely You never break Your promise.
اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلِ التَّوْفِيقَ رَفِيقَنَا وَالصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ طَرِيقَنَا.
Allāhumma ijʿali al-tawfīqa rafīqanā, wa-l-ṣirāṭa al-mustaqīma ṭarīqanā.
O Allah, make Your enabling grace our companion and the straight path our way.
اللَّهُمَّ أَوْصِلْنَا إِلَى مَقَاصِدِنَا وَتُبْ عَلَيْنَا إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ
Allāhumma awṣilnā ilā maqāṣidinā, wa-tub ʿalaynā; innaka anta al-Tawwābu al-Raḥīmu.
O Allah, bring us to our desired ends and accept our repentance. Surely You are the Ever-Relenting, the Ever-Merciful.
اللَّهُمَّ بِكَ أَصْبَحْنَا وَبِكَ أَمْسَيْنَا وَبِكَ نَحْيَا وَبِكَ نَمُوتُ وَإِلَيْكَ الْمَصِيرُ.
Allāhumma bika aṣbaḥnā, wa-bika amsaynā, wa-bika naḥyā, wa-bika namūtu, wa-ilayka al-maṣīru.
O Allah, by You we enter the morning, by You we enter the evening, by You we live, by You we die, and to You is the final return.
اللَّهُمَّ ارْزُقْنَا لَذَّةَ النَّظَرِ إِلَى وَجْهِكَ وَالشَّوْقَ إِلَى لِقَائِكَ.
Allāhumma urzuqnā ladhdhata al-naẓari ilā wajhika wa-l-shawqa ilā liqāʾika.
O Allah, grant us the delight of beholding Your Face and the longing to meet You.
اللَّهُمَّ أَرِنَا الْحَقَّ حَقًّا وَارْزُقْنَا اتِّبَاعَهُ،
Allāhumma arinā al-ḥaqqa ḥaqqan, wa-urzuqnā ittibāʿahu,
O Allah, show us truth as truth and grant us the ability to follow it;
وَأَرِنَا الْبَاطِلَ بَاطِلًا وَارْزُقْنَا اجْتِنَابَهُ.
Wa-arinā al-bāṭila bāṭilan, wa-urzuqnā ijtinābahu.
show us falsehood as falsehood and grant us the ability to avoid it.
اللَّهُمَّ أَرِنَا حَقَائِقَ الْأَشْيَاءِ كَمَا هِيَ وَتَوَفَّنَا مُسْلِمِينَ وَأَلْحِقْنَا بِالصَّالِحِينَ،
Allāhumma arinā ḥaqāʾiqa al-ashyāʾi kamā hiya, wa-tawaffanā muslimīna, wa-alḥiqnā bi-l-ṣāliḥīna,
O Allah, show us the realities of things as they truly are, cause us to die as Muslims, and join us with the righteous;
وَادْفَعْ عَنَّا شَرَّ الظَّالِمِينَ، وَأَشْرِكْنَا فِي دُعَاءِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ،
Wa-idfaʿ ʿannā sharra al-ẓālimīna, wa-ashriknā fī duʿāʾi al-muʾminīna,
ward off from us the evil of the wrongdoers, and grant us a share in the supplications of the believers;
وَنَبِّهْنَا عَنْ نَوْمَةِ الْغَافِلِينَ،
Wa-nabbihnā ʿan nawmati al-ghāfilīna,
awaken us from the sleep of the heedless;
وَارْزُقْنَا شَفَاعَةَ سَيِّدِ الْمُرْسَلِينَ، وَأَدْخِلْنَا الْجَنَّةَ بِسَلَامٍ آمِنِينَ،
Wa-urzuqnā shafāʿata sayyidi al-mursalīna, wa-adkhilnā al-jannata bi-salāmin āminīna,
grant us the intercession of the master of the messengers, and admit us into Paradise in peace and safety;
وَاحْشُرْنَا مَعَ الْمُتَّقِينَ، وَخَلِّصْنَا مِنَ النَّارِ يَا مُجِيرُ.
Wa-uḥshurnā maʿa al-muttaqīna, wa-khalliṣnā mina al-nāri yā Mujīru.
gather us with the God-fearing, and deliver us from the Fire, O Granter of refuge.
اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِأُمَّةِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
Allāhumma ighfir li-ummati Muḥammadin ṣallā Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallama.
O Allah, forgive the community of Muhammad—may Allah bless him and grant him peace.
اللَّهُمَّ ارْحَمْ أُمَّةَ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
Allāhumma irḥam ummata Muḥammadin ṣallā Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallama.
O Allah, have mercy on the community of Muhammad—may Allah bless him and grant him peace.
اللَّهُمَّ انْصُرْ أُمَّةَ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
Allāhumma unṣur ummata Muḥammadin ṣallā Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallama.
O Allah, grant victory to the community of Muhammad—may Allah bless him and grant him peace.
اللَّهُمَّ افْتَحْ لِأُمَّةِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
Allāhumma iftaḥ li-ummati Muḥammadin ṣallā Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallama.
O Allah, open the way for the community of Muhammad—may Allah bless him and grant him peace.
اللَّهُمَّ أَصْلِحْ أُمَّةَ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
Allāhumma aṣliḥ ummata Muḥammadin ṣallā Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallama.
O Allah, set right the community of Muhammad—may Allah bless him and grant him peace.
اللَّهُمَّ فَرِّجْ عَنْ أُمَّةِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
Allāhumma farrij ʿan ummati Muḥammadin ṣallā Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallama.
O Allah, relieve the distress of the community of Muhammad—may Allah bless him and grant him peace.
اللَّهُمَّ كَرِّمْ أُمَّةَ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
Allāhumma karrim ummata Muḥammadin ṣallā Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallama.
O Allah, honor the community of Muhammad—may Allah bless him and grant him peace.
اللَّهُمَّ عَظِّمْ أُمَّةَ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
Allāhumma ʿaẓẓim ummata Muḥammadin ṣallā Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallama.
O Allah, raise the standing of the community of Muhammad—may Allah bless him and grant him peace.
اللَّهُمَّ تَجَاوَزْ عَنْ سَيِّئَاتِ أُمَّةِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
Allāhumma tajāwaz ʿan sayyiʾāti ummati Muḥammadin ṣallā Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallama.
O Allah, pardon the misdeeds of the community of Muhammad—may Allah bless him and grant him peace.
اللَّهُمَّ يَا حَبِيبَ التَّوَّابِينَ تُبْ عَلَيْنَا،
Allāhumma yā Ḥabība al-tawwābīna tub ʿalaynā,
O Allah, O Beloved of those who continually turn in repentance, accept our repentance;
وَيَا أَمَانَ الْخَائِفِينَ آمِنَّا،
Wa-yā Amāna al-khāʾifīna āminnā,
O Refuge of the fearful, grant us safety;
وَيَا دَلِيلَ الْمُتَحَيِّرِينَ دُلَّنَا،
Wa-yā Dalīla al-mutaḥayyirīna dullanā,
O Guide of the bewildered, guide us;
وَيَا هَادِيَ الْمُضَلِّينَ اهْدِنَا
Wa-yā Hādiya al-muḍallīna ihdinā,
O Guide of those led astray, guide us;
وَيَا غِيَاثَ الْمُسْتَغِيثِينَ أَغِثْنَا،
Wa-yā Ghiyātha al-mustaghīthīna aghithnā,
O Aid of those who cry out for help, come to our aid;
وَيَا رَجَاءَ الْمُنْقَطِعِينَ لَا تَقْطَعْ رَجَاءَنَا
Wa-yā Rajāʾa al-munqaṭiʿīna lā taqṭaʿ rajāʾanā,
O Hope of those who have nowhere else to turn, do not sever our hope;
وَيَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ ارْحَمْنَا،
Wa-yā arḥama al-rāḥimīna irḥamnā,
O Most Merciful of those who show mercy, have mercy on us;
وَيَا غَافِرَ الْمُذْنِبِينَ اغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا وَكَفِّرْ عَنَّا سَيِّئَاتِنَا وَتَوَفَّنَا مَعَ الْأَبْرَارِ.
Wa-yā Ghāfira al-mudhnibīna ighfir lanā dhunūbanā, wa-kaffir ʿannā sayyiʾātinā, wa-tawaffanā maʿa al-abrāri.
O Forgiver of sinners, forgive us our sins, erase from us our misdeeds, and cause us to die among the righteous.
اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ ذُنُوبَنَا اللَّهُمَّ اسْتُرْ عُيُوبَنَا، اللَّهُمَّ اشْرَحْ صُدُورَنَا، اللَّهُمَّ احْفَظْ قُلُوبَنَا
Allāhumma ighfir dhunūbanā. Allāhumma ustur ʿuyūbanā. Allāhumma ishraḥ ṣudūranā. Allāhumma iḥfaẓ qulūbanā.
O Allah, forgive our sins. O Allah, conceal our faults. O Allah, open our hearts. O Allah, guard our hearts.
اللَّهُمَّ نَوِّرْ قُلُوبَنَا، اللَّهُمَّ نَوِّرْ عُيُونَنَا، اللَّهُمَّ يَسِّرْ أُمُورَنَا
Allāhumma nawwir qulūbanā. Allāhumma nawwir ʿuyūnanā. Allāhumma yassir umūranā.
O Allah, illuminate our hearts. O Allah, illuminate our eyes. O Allah, ease our affairs.
اللَّهُمَّ حَصِّلْ مُرَادَنَا، اللَّهُمَّ تَمِّمْ تَقَاصِيرَنَا،
Allāhumma ḥaṣṣil murādanā. Allāhumma tammim taqāṣīranā.
O Allah, bring about what we seek. O Allah, make good all our shortcomings.
اللَّهُمَّ نَجِّحْنَا وَمَتِّعْنَا يَا خَفِيَّ الْأَلْطَافِ
Allāhumma najjiḥnā wa-mattiʿnā, yā Khafiyya al-alṭāfi.
O Allah, grant us success and well-being, O You whose subtle graces are hidden.
اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَنَا وَلِوَالِدَيْنَا وَلِمَشَايِخِنَا وَلِأُسْتَاذِنَا وَلِأَصْحَابِنَا وَلِأَحْبَابِنَا وَلِعَشَائِرِنَا وَلِقَرَابَتِنَا
Allāhumma ighfir lanā wa-li-wālidaynā wa-li-mashāyikhinā wa-li-ustādhinā wa-li-aṣḥābinā wa-li-aḥbābinā wa-li-ʿashāʾirinā wa-li-qarābatinā,
O Allah, forgive us, our parents, our spiritual teachers and elders, our teacher, our companions, our loved ones, our clans, and our relatives;
وَلِمَنْ لَهُ حَقٌّ عَلَيْنَا وَلِجَمِيعِ أُمَّةِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَلَيْهِ الصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ
Wa-li-man lahu ḥaqqun ʿalaynā, wa-li-jamīʿi ummati Muḥammadin ʿalayhi al-ṣalātu wa-l-salāmu,
and forgive everyone who has a right over us, and the entire community of Muhammad—may blessings and peace be upon him.
وَقِنَا رَبَّنَا شَرَّ مَا قَضَيْتَ،
Wa-qinā rabbanā sharra mā qaḍayta,
Our Lord, protect us from the evil consequences of what You have decreed;
وَقِنَا رَبَّنَا عَذَابَ الْقَبْرِ وَعَذَابَ النَّارِ وَعَذَابَ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ
Wa-qinā rabbanā ʿadhāba al-qabri wa-ʿadhāba al-nāri wa-ʿadhāba yawmi al-qiyāmati,
our Lord, protect us from the punishment of the grave, the punishment of the Fire, and the punishment of the Day of Resurrection;
وَاحْشُرْنَا مَعَ الْمُتَّقِينَ وَالْأَبْرَارِ
Wa-uḥshurnā maʿa al-muttaqīna wa-l-abrāri.
and gather us with the God-fearing and the righteous.
اللَّهُمَّ بِحُرْمَةِ هٰذِهِ الْأَوْرَادِ الْفَتْحِيَّةِ افْتَحْ لَنَا أَبْوَابَ الْعِنَايَاتِ وَالْكَرَامَاتِ، وَوَفِّقْنَا لِلطَّاعَاتِ وَالْعِبَادَاتِ، وَاحْفَظْنَا مِنَ الْآفَاتِ وَالْبَلِيَّاتِ، وَبَارِكْ لَنَا فِي الرِّزْقِ وَالْعُمْرِ وَالْحَسَنَاتِ.
Allāhumma bi-ḥurmati hādhihi al-awrādi al-fatḥiyyati iftaḥ lanā abwāba al-ʿināyāti wa-l-karāmāti, wa-waffiqnā li-l-ṭāʿāti wa-l-ʿibādāti, wa-iḥfaẓnā mina al-āfāti wa-l-baliyyāti, wa-bārik lanā fī al-rizqi wa-l-ʿumri wa-l-ḥasanāti.
O Allah, by the sacred worth of these Fathiyya Litanies, open for us the doors of divine care and spiritual graces; enable us to perform acts of obedience and worship; protect us from afflictions and calamities; and bless us in our provision, lifespan, and good deeds.
اللَّهُمَّ احْفَظْنَا يَا فَيَّاضُ مِنْ جَمِيعِ الْبَلَايَا وَالْأَمْرَاضِ،
Allāhumma iḥfaẓnā yā Fayyāḍu min jamīʿi al-balāyā wa-l-amrāḍi,
O Allah, protect us, O All-Bountiful, from every tribulation and illness.
وَصَلَّى اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَلَى خَيْرِ خَلْقِهِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ وَأَصْحَابِهِ أَجْمَعِينَ
Wa-ṣallā Allāhu taʿālā ʿalā khayri khalqihi Muḥammadin wa-ālihi wa-aṣḥābihi ajmaʿīna.
May Allah Most High bless the best of His creation, Muhammad, and all his family and Companions.
